Every signed book is prepared by hand with care (and a little cozy magic).
This page explains how orders, shipping, returns, and refunds work for books purchased directly from Veronica Samek | Cozy & Spicy Romance.
💌 Order Processing
- In-stock signed paperbacks ship within 5–7 business days.
- During launches or holidays, processing may take a little longer while I sign and wrap.
- Pre-orders are charged at checkout and will ship within the estimated timeframe listed on each product page.
- You’ll receive a tracking email the moment your package ships.
📦 Shipping
- All U.S. orders ship via USPS (occasionally UPS).
- Tracking numbers are sent automatically once the label is created.
- I currently ship within the United States; select international options may open later.
- International buyers are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, or import fees charged by their country.
💖 Returns & Refunds
Signed Books
Each signed or personalized book is made especially for you.
Because of that, all sales are final and non-refundable, except in cases of damage or defect.
Damaged or Defective Items
If your order arrives damaged, please email veronica@veronicawritesandreads.com within 7 days of delivery and include:
- Your order number
- Photos of the damaged book and packaging
Once verified, I’ll provide return instructions.
You may be asked to return the damaged item before a replacement or refund is issued.
If the damage occurred during shipping or due to a packing error on my end, I’ll cover return postage and send your replacement at no cost.
If the item is returned for reasons unrelated to damage or defect, return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility.
Wrong Address or Returned Packages
If an order is returned because the address was incorrect or undeliverable, I can reship once new postage is paid.
If you’d prefer not to reship, I’ll refund the item price (excluding original shipping) after the package is received back in good condition.
Refund Method
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of confirmation or return receipt.
🔄 Cancellations & Order Changes
Orders can be canceled or changed within 12 hours of purchase, provided they haven’t yet been signed or shipped.
For pre-orders, changes are allowed any time before the posted ship window begins.

🧾 Taxes
Sales tax is collected on orders shipped within Michigan.
Orders shipped to other states or countries may be subject to local taxes or customs fees, which are the buyer’s responsibility.
🪶 All Sales Final (Quick Summary)
Signed books are final sale unless damaged or defective.
This policy is clearly posted on product pages in compliance with Michigan consumer-protection laws.
