Veronica Samek grew up among the creaky floorboards and endless shelves of Jellybeans, a secondhand bookstore in Owosso, Michigan that’s been in business for over 35 years. Surrounded by well-loved paperbacks and the scent of old pages, she fell in love with stories early and often. Though she drifted from reading during college, her late twenties brought a return to books—and eventually, to writing. She first self-published science fiction in 2022, but as her reading tastes evolved and her voice became clearer, she found herself drawn to what she loved most: cozy but spicy romance with found families, slow burns, and a little bit of magic.
In June of 2025, Veronica published her first omegaverse romance novel, launching a small-town series filled with warmth, steam, and a touch of the supernatural. She’s now focused on bringing more cozy-but-spicy stories to life, each one rooted in emotional connection, sensual tension, and strong-hearted characters. When she’s not writing, she’s reading indie romance, wrangling her four kids, walking her goldendoodle Doctor (named after Doctor Who, of course), or watching TV shows with her husband while dreaming up the next twist in her fictional worlds.
