Book Banning News:
Florida report shows hundreds of books banned
A new report from the Florida Department of Education shows that more than 700 books have been “Removed or Discontinued” from schools across the state since a revision on the law was made last year. The list of books banned in Florida has doubled since last year. House Bill 1069 allows anyone to object to any book they deem inappropriate .

The Booker Prize is the United Kingdoms most prestigious award for fiction.
Orbital has also won the 2024 Orwell prize for political fiction, 2024 Ursula K. Le Guin Prize for fiction and the 2024 Hawthornden Prize.
