Some good news, some bad news, all book based.

New Indie Book in the Works:

A Pack Of Cozy Copy 642x1024

A Pack of Cozy by Veronica Suhajda

I’m excited to announce the release of the first book in my new standalone series, A Pack of Cozy, which will be available this summer. This heartwarming, why-choose romance features an omegaverse-inspired narrative and follows Calliope, the new librarian at the Starlight Point Public Library. As she settles into the enchanting small lakeside town and navigates her feelings for her fated mates—a group of alphas who own the local café—she discovers the true meaning of community. This marks the beginning of a seven-part series of interconnected yet standalone cozy romances set in the Leelanau Peninsula of northern Michigan. All books will adhere to omegaverse rules.

Amazon says you don’t own your ebooks:

Ereader 642x1024

On February 26, you can no longer download your Kindle ebooks to a PC. It seems as though even though you purchased the ebook you don’t have the right to use it as you would any other book. This comes as an effort to keep consumers from sharing their ebook files, but the thing is, books are meant to be shared. If I went into a brick-and-mortar bookstore and purchased a book, I would be free to read that book, place it anywhere in my house I want, and lend it to my friends and family. It would be mine; no one could take it from me without breaking the law. Besides the dubious nature of being unable to share something I’ve purchased, this also seems like a slippery slope. This controversy has also reminded us that if they have the power to take our book choices off of an entire device, they have the power to delete or “edit” books we have access to through their system at any time. With the new administration’s stance on books coupled with Project 2025’s goals regarding censorship, this seems like an ominously timed step.
