September Reading

September Reading Wrap up

September was a great reading month for me. My mood reader heart was pulled towards autumn themed books and spooky reads but I managed to get in a good variety.

Haunted Ever After

Haunted Ever After by Jen DeLuca

4 Stars1

Perfect for people who like cozy, supernatural romances.

Coming from Michigan, it’s sometimes hard to remember that not all Halloweens are chilly and full of changing leaves. Some have palm trees. If you have a decorated palm tree this fall season or wish you did, this is a good book for you.

Salt And Broom

Salt and Broom by Sharon Lynn Fisher

3.5 Stars

Perfect for people who like gothic, supernatural witch stories with some romance

This is a Jane Eyre remake in which Mr. Rochester hires Jane (a witch) to help with the curse on his estate. It is very atmospheric.

The Spellshop

The Spellshop by Sarah Beth Durst

3.5 Stars1

Perfect for people who like cozy magical romances

This book was perfect. It was low-stakes but still very interesting. The romance was cute, and the world-building was great. I highly recommend it any time of year.

Love And Other Conspiracies

Love and Other Conspiracies by Mallory Marlowe

3.5 Stars1

Perfect for people who like the supernatural, cozy romance, cryptids, the x-files

Love and Other Conspiracies is a cozy romcom about a woman who needs a show idea for production and a man who already has a podcast about the unknown. Strap in for lots of conspiracy knowledge.

Untitled

That Time I got Drunk and Saved a Human by Kimberly Lemming

4 Stars1 1

Perfect for people who like romantasy, fluff, comedy, smut

This is the third installment in the Meads and Mishaps series. It follows Dante, the storm dragon looking for love. He finds it in Cherry, a spunky human who might know some of our previous Mead and Mishaps characters.

The Woman In The Library

The Woman in the Library by Sulario Gentill

3.5 Stars 1

Perfect for people who like mystery, atmosphere, character studies

The Woman in the Library’s unique narrative structure kept me guessing. It was a quick mystery that entertained me, and I’d recommend it to anyone who wants something mysterious but not too heavy.
