I can honestly say that this book has officially ruined 2025 for me. I can’t read what might be the best book of the year, in January. It’s too early!
Regardless, that may be what I just did. This was the peak of romance genre perfection.
The characters were all likable and well-written. The dialogue, both inner and outer, was organic. The situation that led to fake dating was plausible and not as ridiculous as many others I’ve read.The single bed trope was featured and I squealed.
My only critique was that the miscommunication trope went a bit long for my taste. A couple of chapters could have cut down that whole section.
Otherwise, total perfection was achieved, and I’ll be checking out the rest of Jimenez’s backlist.
