Grammy Award winner Victoria Monet is publishing a children’s picture book about separation anxiety. The moon comforts a young star as night ends and they must separate.

Barnes and Noble Book of the Year Finalists
Barnes and Noble Finalists have been announced. The winner will be announced on November 15, 2024. My prediction is that James by Percival Everett will clinch the win as it has for so many awards so far.
Publishers launch petition condemning the “theft” by AI
An online petition against the unauthorized use of works to train generative AI has reached 13,500 signatures. The advent of AI has changed the publishing industry greatly, and the signatory’s goal is to begin regulating this unprecedented technology.
