Kindle Finally Gets Color!
Kindle Colorsoft
Kindle has been black and white for a long time. And while that works all right for an average paperback, it doesn’t always give the best experience for other types of books.
With the rise in popularity of the graphic novel and with increasing cover art and illustrative art, color while reading has become critical.
I’m excited to explore this new kindle and engage in a more diverse reading portfolio.
Book Banning News
No new books for children
A York County Public Library in South Carolina has decided to stop acquiring books for children under 18 until they get further clarification on new restrictive laws in the state. Because of South Carolina’s restrictive but vague laws fear of legal retribution for simply carrying the “wrong” materials has left librarians with few choices.
Turning facts into “fiction”
Texas’s Montgomery county is facing backlash from many including penguin random house for reclassifying “Colonization and the Wampanoag Story” by Lidna Coombs into the fiction section. The book is part of penguin Random house’s Race to the Truth series.
